About Us

Laura and Matthew Hoopes, born in 1982 and '81 respectively, remember the good ol' days when your friend rode home with you from school and your mom would drive you to the video store to rent a new release (if you were lucky enough to snag one) or an old favorite. Get home, call to order a pizza and a 2-liter and you were ready for a great Friday night!

 

The idea behind The Video Store was to create a space that evokes that feeling, transporting you back to a simpler time. Before wifi, before cell phones, before constant distraction. It's a place where you can come in and flip through posters from your favorite 80s movies, shop our fun retro gifts for your friends and yourself, and yes... even rent VHS tapes.
